FINANCIAL WELLBEING FOR ORGANISATIONS

Help your people make better financial decisions โ€” not simply learn more about money.

Financial stress doesn't stay at home. It affects confidence, decision-making, wellbeing and the way people show up at work, in education and in their lives.

Yet much of financial education still focuses on giving people more information.

The problem is that knowing what to do and actually doing it are two very different things.

I deliver engaging financial wellbeing workshops, programmes and keynote presentations that go beyond information to help people understand the behaviours, habits and decisions shaping their financial lives โ€” and take practical action to change them.

My work combines financial wellbeing, behaviour change, identity and personal development to help people build greater financial confidence, security and choice.

If you want your financial wellbeing initiative to change what people do, not simply what they know, let's talk.

Financial wellbeing is a people issue, not simply a money issue

Financial concerns can affect concentration, confidence, decision-making, relationships, wellbeing and performance. The circumstances may differ between an employee worrying about household finances, a student making her first independent financial decisions, a business owner dealing with inconsistent income or a family trying to build greater security, but information alone rarely resolves the problem.

People often already know many of the things they're supposed to do. The harder part is turning that knowledge into different decisions and consistent action.

That's where my approach is different. I help participants understand what's influencing the choices they make, identify what they want to change and leave with practical actions they can begin taking immediately.

The aim isn't simply financial education. It's financial behaviour change.

Why organisations choose to work with Sarah

Financial wellbeing is no longer simply a personal issue. It's a workplace issue, an education issue and a community issue.

Organisations choose to work with me because my sessions go beyond teaching financial information. They help people think differently, make better decisions and develop the habits that lead to lasting change.

Participants leave with practical strategies they can begin using immediately, increased confidence in their financial future and a clearer understanding of the small decisions that create long-term financial wellbeing.

Every workshop is practical, engaging and tailored to the needs of your audience. Whether I'm working with employees, students, business owners or community groups, my goal is to create an experience that is thought-provoking, actionable and genuinely transformational.

Who I Work With

Employers

Help employees strengthen financial confidence, reduce financial stress and make more intentional financial decisions, supporting greater wellbeing at work and beyond.

Universities & Colleges

Equip students with more than financial knowledge by helping them develop the confidence, habits and decision-making skills they'll use throughout adult life.

Membership Organisations

Give your members and communities practical, engaging financial wellbeing support that encourages reflection, action and lasting behavioural change.

Conferences & Events

Thought-provoking keynotes and interactive sessions that challenge conventional thinking about money and leave audiences with practical actions they can take forward.

Keynote Presentations

Start a different conversation about money.

Engaging, thought-provoking presentations exploring financial wellbeing, behaviour, identity and the decisions that shape our financial futures.

Ideal for conferences, wellbeing events, leadership programmes and organisational events where you want people to leave thinking differently โ€” and ready to act differently.

Interactive Workshops

Turn insight into action.

Practical, participative sessions combining discussion, reflection and action. Participants apply the ideas to their own financial lives and leave with clear actions they can begin taking immediately.

Available online and in person.

Multi-Session Programmes

Create change that lasts beyond the workshop.

A single session can create an important shift in thinking. Longer programmes create the opportunity to put new behaviours into practice, reflect on what happens and build greater confidence and consistency over time.

Programmes can run over several weeks or months and include ongoing support and accountability.

Bespoke Programmes

Build the right intervention for your people.

Every organisation and audience is different. We can design a workshop or programme around your objectives, audience and the financial wellbeing challenges you want to address.

The success of a financial wellbeing session isn't simply whether participants enjoyed it or learned something new. The more important question is what happens when they go back to everyday life.

Depending on the audience and programme, participants may leave better able to recognise the habits and influences shaping their financial decisions, make more intentional choices, take action on financial tasks they've been avoiding, have more confident conversations about money and identify practical steps towards greater financial security.

They also leave with something particularly important: a greater sense that their financial future is something they can actively influence.

Every audience is different, which is why we'll agree the outcomes that matter to your organisation before designing the session.

I can highly recommend Sarah's Master Your Money in 30 Days programme. It has generated fantastic interaction within the Freedom Families community, and it's clear that it has really encouraged people to reflect on and rethink their relationship with money. Thank you so much for bringing this programme to our members, Sarah.

Working with Sarah has completely changed the way I think about money. I feel confident talking about money now, where I used to feel anxious, and I've started making decisions I never would have made before, including investing in myself and negotiating with my workplace to support my development. Sarah has created a safe, supportive community where I've been able to reflect, grow and build a much healthier relationship with money. I genuinely love being part of it.

My Approach

My Approach

Financial wellbeing isn't simply about how much money someone has. It's about what that money allows them to do, decide and become.

My work sits at the intersection of financial wellbeing, behaviour, identity and personal development because our financial decisions don't happen in isolation. They're influenced by our experiences, beliefs, habits, environment and sense of what's possible for us.

Rather than simply telling people what they should do, I help them understand what influences what they actually do โ€” and identify practical ways to move forward.

My approach is also informed by research I commissioned with Newcastle University into women's financial behaviour and wellbeing, alongside my experience as an entrepreneur, financial wellbeing educator and Success Principles Trainer.

The goal is not simply to know more about money. It's to become better equipped to create a stronger financial future.

About Sarah

I'm Sarah McCalden, The Financial Wellbeing and Identity Expert.

Since 2018, I've helped people create more confidence, choice and freedom in their financial lives. I've seen people change the way they think about money, improve the decisions they make and create futures that feel far more secure, intentional and aligned with what matters most to them.

Earlier in life, I experienced addiction and the deep sense of unworthiness that often comes with it. Rebuilding my life required changing my habits, my decisions and my beliefs about what was possible. That experience continues to shape the way I support others today.

Alongside my work with individuals and organisations, I'm committed to ensuring my work is grounded in both practical experience and evidence. In 2025, I initiated a research project with Newcastle University to explore the factors that influence financial wellbeing. The insights from that work continue to inform my approach, alongside my years of experience supporting people to create greater confidence, security and choice in their financial lives.

What would you like to change for your people?

Every organisation starts from a different place. You may be looking to reduce financial stress amongst employees, help students become better prepared for independent life, provide meaningful support to your members or start a completely different conversation about money at an upcoming event.

The best place to begin is a conversation.

Tell me a little about your organisation, your audience and what you'd like people to think, feel or do differently as a result of working together. From there, I can recommend the format and approach that would be most useful.

To arrange an informal conversation, email Sarah at [email protected]
